Our Founding Partners visit DUTC students.

Today, Tuesday 15th September, we welcomed our very first Employer Partners into DUTC to speak to our Year 9 and Year 12 students.  Tuesday is Engineering Specialism day and we welcomed Mr Paul Stockhill, Managing Director and Owner of Agemaspark.  Mr Stockhill is also a member of our Governing Body and has been with our project from day one.  He spoke to our Year 12 students this morning about how his precision engineering company has produced everything from moulds for making rice krispies, to working on nuclear war heads and sending equipment into space. 

In the afternoon, Mrs Melissa Flett, Group Human Resources Director for PolyPipe, came to speak to our Year 9 students about various projects that are going to start soon with our Engineering students alongside our Director of Engineering, Mr Chris Francis.  Mrs Flett was also joined by Mr Chris Oldacre, IBM and our Chair of Governors to inspire our students to become employees of the future.
