Work Experience.

All post 16 students will have the opportunity to do extended work experience in their time at the UTC. Monday after period 2 are set aside for post 16 students to work with employers. This might be a single placement for 2 years, or several shorter placements. (Covid restrictions have prevented this from happening this academic year)

The intention is that students should identify their areas of talent and interest, then build a firm set of skills, knowledge and experiences over the two years that will enable them to smoothly and successfully enter the world of work when they leave us.
